*The purpose of the Morgan County Fall Foliage Festival Queen pageant is to promote our community and to allow local young women the opportunity to participate in a fun scholarship pageant and festival event*

 

QUEEN PAGEANT RULES: 

  1. Participants must be female and age shall not be less than 17 nor more than 22 years on 1/1/2023. Entrant must attach either a copy of her birth certificate or driver’s license as proof of age to the application.
  2. Participant must currently reside in Morgan County and must present proof of residency.
  3. Participant must be single, never married, have no children and must not be pregnant at the time of the pageant or during her reign, if crowned queen.
  4. The use of drugs or alcohol during the pageant or festival by any participant will not be tolerated and will result in immediate dismissal from the pageant.
  5. All participants must attend an orientation/practice meeting with the pageant director on__ JULY 1st, 2023______.
  6. The queen and her court must participate in various activities related to the Fall Foliage Festival, included being in the Morgan County Fall Foliage Festival parade on Oct. 15, 2023
  7. The winner of the pageant will act as the festival queen Oct. 12-15, 2023. The pageant director will bestow the queen duties, which may include the introduction of festival entertainers.
  8. The winning first place entrant will be named the 2023 Morgan County Fall Foliage Festival Queen and will be awarded a scholarship. Release of the scholarship payment, the winning entrant must show proof of enrollment to a technical school, college or university.
  9. In the event of a tie, the highest score from the interview portion will be used. If another tiebreaker is needed, a judge/director’s group decision will choose the queen.
  10. The pageant director and committee expect each contestant to display the highest degree of sportsmanship during the workshops, rehearsals, and any festival related activities.
  11. The winning entrant has the opportunity to attend and compete in the Indiana State Fair Queen Pageant held in Indianapolis.
  12. In the event the winning entrant is not able to fulfill her duties as the 2023 Morgan County Fall Foliage Festival Queen, the contestant names First Runner Up will assume the title of the 2023 Morgan County Fall Foliage Festival Queen.
  13. A $40 non-refundable entry fee is applicable for each participant and must be submitted with the participant’s application.
  14. Miss Fundraiser (OPTIONAL) – the top fundraiser will be named as Miss Fundraiser, and be a member of the court.
  15. The audience will vote on Fan Favorite the night of the competition at $1.00 per vote.
  16. All participants must submit a completed application, 4×6 headshot, copy of birth certificate or driver’s license, and the non-refundable entry fee of $40 by the deadline of   July 1, 2023.   
  17. *Late applications will not be considered. See application for address to submit applications.

Princess, Junior and Little Miss PAGEANT RULES:
